Biography

Ragesh Mattummal is the Co-Founder and Partner of CLA Emirates, bringing over two decades of professional experience across banking, foreign exchange, company formation, liquidation, corporate finance consultancy, business planning and treasury management.

He began his career with a leading non-banking financial company in India, where he headed its Foreign Exchange Export Division, before moving to the UAE and working with an established foreign exchange firm. With extensive experience liaising with UAE government authorities and regulatory departments, Ragesh advises entrepreneurs, family businesses, SMEs and multinational groups on business establishment, corporate structuring and ongoing compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.

His work also spans strategic business and tax matters, financial advisory, market entry, restructuring and international expansion. Ragesh is an Anti-Money Laundering specialist with experience across banking, non-banking financial institutions and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions. His practical, compliance-led approach enables him to support business owners and senior leadership teams in navigating regulatory requirements, managing risk and making informed decisions for sustainable growth across the GCC and international markets.
