Biography

Savio Jose is Associate Director – Audit and Assurance at CLA Emirates, working with CLA Emirates Chartered Accountants and Auditors LLC, the firm’s audit division. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has more than twenty years of experience in finance, accounts, audit and taxation, including over eight years in management and supervisory roles. He has been associated with the firm for more than fifteen years and is responsible for the planning, execution and completion of statutory and other assurance engagements for clients across the United Arab Emirates.

In this role, Savio manages several audit assignments at the same time, from engagement planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, technical review and finalisation of the auditor’s report. He reviews financial statements prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards, identifies areas of judgement and risk, and works with engagement teams to recommend practical reporting and control improvements. His work is aligned with International Standards on Auditing and with the mainland, free zone and banking requirements that apply to companies operating in the UAE.

Savio also supports related assurance and advisory work, including due diligence reviews, business valuation support and IFRS advisory. He is a first point of contact for owners and finance teams on audit findings, reporting timelines and technical questions, and is known for keeping complex, multi-entity engagements on track without losing sight of quality. He leads and coaches audit staff, providing on-the-job guidance and review so that files and reports meet the firm’s professional standards.
